Honoring Our Legacy, And Building Momentum

The Women’s Democratic Club of Utah is kicking off the year with unstoppable momentum. From a sold-out January luncheon that delivered a powerful preview of the legislative session ahead, to a stacked February program honoring Women’s Heart Health Month, this year is already shaping up to be one of our most impactful yet.

Members can also look forward to an exclusive day at the Capitol with details coming soon, and be sure to save the date for our 130-year celebration on May 9 as we honor our legacy and fuel the work ahead. This is the year to be informed, engaged, and involved.

We’ll be sharing timely updates throughout the legislative session, and if you’re ready to take action, set up your account on the Utah Legislature website and Navigating the Utah Legislative Website to stay connected and make your voice heard.

130 Years Strong—and We’re Just Getting Started

Make this the year you show up, get involved, and help shape the future of the Women’s Democratic Club of Utah.

The Women’s Democratic Club of Utah is where people come to show up, connect, and make change—no matter where they are on their political journey. You don’t need a title or years of experience to belong here. What matters is engagement, shared values, and a willingness to be part of something bigger.

This is a landmark year for our club. As we celebrate 130 years of advancing equal rights and women’s political leadership, we’re also growing—fast. With that growth comes higher energy, stronger engagement, and fuller rooms, including a major anniversary celebration you won’t want to miss.

Now is the time to get involved. Join the club if you haven’t, make sure your membership is current, and plan to register early for events. We’re expanding members-only programming this year and inviting everyone to bring new voices into the room.

Progress happens when people show up together. Be part of this moment. Help us grow the movement, elect Democrats, and turn 130 years of leadership into real impact today.

🎉 Save the Date: May 9 🎉

Founded in 1896, at the very moment Utah women won the right to vote, the Utah Women’s Democratic Club has spent 130 years leading, organizing, and making change happen. From securing equal suffrage in Utah’s Constitution to pioneering the nation’s first 50/50 gender resolution, the WDC has never waited for progress, we’ve made it.

Now it’s time to celebrate, and power the work ahead.

Join us for a big, joyful 130th Anniversary Celebration & Fundraiser honoring our legacy and fueling our future. This will be a night to gather, reflect, connect, and raise the funds that keep women organizing, advocating, and leading across Utah.

Come celebrate 130 years of impact and help launch the next chapter with us.

That's Right...

Wyoming may have beat Utah by a few months in giving women the right to vote, but Utah is the first state where women first cast a ballot.

In honor of that historic event in 1870, Utah released a new license plate design celebrating the state's women being the "first to vote" in modern American history.

The year 2020 marked the 150th anniversary of the first women voting in Utah and the centennial of the 19th amendment, which assured women the right to vote nationwide.
